We are looking for an Arable Operator...

Could this be the role for you?

JOB PURPOSE

We are looking for someone to join the Preston Hall Farming team following the retirement of one of our key personnel. While experience of arable systems is advantageous, we are looking for a highly motivated individual with a can-do attitude who will contribute to the successful running and development of the arable enterprise. Training will be provided where appropriate.

ABOUT US

The Preston Hall Estate includes a diverse range of enterprises including residential cottages, let commercial units, holiday accommodation, and a fledgling events business.

Preston Hall Farming is responsible for carrying out all field operations across the Estate which is predominantly arable, growing a range of combinable crops. In addition to our in-hand operations, we have a close working relationship with a neighbouring livestock farm, where we see benefits through adopting a collaborative approach.

Farming operations are based at Rosemains, where we have recently constructed a new purpose built 4,500t grain store and grain drying facility. The construction of this building has allowed us to repurpose the former grain storage buildings to create a modern farm workshop and ancillary storage.

JOB DESCRIPTION

You would be joining a team of three, each of whom have the skill and expertise to carry out a broad range of field operations.

The ideal candidate will be an all-rounder capable of operating a range of modern arable machinery, as well as supporting the wider estate team throughout the year. Experience in operating a combine and self-propelled sprayer along with telehandler certificates are an advantage but training will be provided where required.

Financial remuneration will be commensurate with experience and can include on-site accommodation if required.

If you would like more information on this role, please send us an email so we can organise a phone call. Confidentiality will be strictly adhered to at all times.
