With the Royal Highland Show just around the corner, we have decided to kick start it a little early here at The Walled Garden at Preston Hall with our first Open Farm Sunday.

Our Garden Open Days will kick off with Open Farm Sunday on 11th June where we will be bringing the tractors, the combine, the Merlo Roto and hopefully some friendly animals down to The Walled Garden so that you can see and the touch them for yourself. If your really lucky you might get the chance to sit in a tractor!

There is so much to learn and understand surrounding where our food comes from and the work that goes into it, and the younger we start, the more likely we are to support them going forward. We are very lucky to have the assistance of Agriculture and Horticulture Development Board (AHDB) who will be attending and there to answer any questions anyone might have.

With some kids activities surrounding farming, some demonstrations, and hopefully some farm tours on a trailer, we hope it will be a really interactive and educational day for people of all ages.

Food will be provided by Common Coffee Cafe who will provide coffee, toasties, and treats, and we will also have The Wee Green Pizza Van attending so no excuses not to have a great family day out.
